What Christmas means to me
We wrote to the Gisborne Herald for a competition for children to writes 2 or more sentences about what Christmas means to them. We wrote how its about that Christmas is not just about receiving but giving to the one's we love it's also about celebrating when Jesus' was born.
What Christmas means to me...
It's that time of year when presents are given and received, when Jesus was born our savior our king, It's a time to spend with our whanui, to celebrate to give to ones we love.
To share some kai, to share some love, It's a joyous season of the year which we celebrate with everyone and share the christmas fun! Merry Christmas everyone!

Summer learning journey - Art Colouring book #2
Here is the second one I have done. I enjoyed this one more because it is more intrecide. I found it challenging to fill in all the tiny spaces because there was so many of them and it was very tiring and a lot of clicking! Next time I would try and copy the original art piece. The original piece is by Vincent Van Gogh. Here is how mine turned out and what the original one looks like.

Tui ridge Camp 2020 GIF
We did lots of activities at Tui Ridge (which are in the GIF) then we went to Paradise Valley, Kuirau Park, the Luge and gondola and the Aquatic Centre which we did separately.

Tui ridge - Camp thank you letter
Last week we went on a camp to Tui Ridge which is in Rotorua. we are writing thank you letters to the people who helped make this camp possible. I chose Tracy, our groups adult and Sione's mum.
My favourite activity was the Flying fox. The flying fox was not only fun but it was amazing and it felt relaxing to be above the trees and I can see why its called the flying fox because it really feels like your flying! I found it easy to choose who I was going to write to and to copy and paste it onto my blog. I found it challenging to finish on time. Here is my letter and photo collage.

Dear Tracey,
I am writing this letter to you to say a big thank you for volunteering to come to our school camp at Tui Ridge with us. You have been truly amazing. We wouldn't have been able to do all these activities without your help. We all had an amazing time but you made it even better!
One of my favourite moments at camp was zooming down the flying fox leaning back and letting go of the rope. Miss Hickling ran after me to grab my legs and I got a big wedgie from the harness.
So thank you so much Tracey for being so great to us and helping the teachers look after 70 kids.Your amazing!

The Apple tree dilemma
This week for reading we have been reading "The apple tree dilemma". It's about these siblings who own an apple tree and love it so much until new kids move into that house and claim that its their tree now. They then make up a plan to get them back.We had to create a venn diagram comparing the dad and another character. The dad soon finds out what their plan is and gets very angry!
For my other book character I choose a MEAN and BRUTAL teacher called Mr Large off "The Recruit" ( The book we are reading as a class at the moment). I enjoyed and found it easy to make the venn diagram and choose the colours. I found it challenging to describe Mr Large. My digital learning object show that I can use google drawings and make a venn diagram. Here is my Venn diagram.

Pop art #2
For this Pop art we have used a different site called Artnet. There are 3 different Andy warhol filters to choose from Andy Warhol Original, Andy Warhol Variation 1, Andy Warhol Variation 2, which is the one I used. This site is easier to used because Instead of doing separate filters it does that for you.
Pop art
Today for cybersmart we made Pop art on a site called LunaPic. Its a site were you upload a image and you have lots of different filters to choose from to filter it. The artist who inspired us is Andy Warhol.
I enjoyed and found it easy to upload my image, download it and take my photo. I found it challenging to choose which filter I wanted. My digital learning object shows that i know how to filter a image. Next time I would choose a different filter. The filters I used are called floating,Tattoo,Fantasy and Landscape.

Today for maths we had a times table check up. Green means I got it right and red means I got it wrong. I got 17/25. It was quite tricky, but I figured out a way to change how long you had to choose the answer, Witch made it a bit easier to complete the questions. I enjoyed answering some of the questions That I didn't know, it was nice to have a challenge. Next time I hope that I will be able to answer more of the questions right. here are my results...

Faith GIF
This week and last week we have been learning how to make a GIF. To make our GIF we have used Tall Tweets. The Classic one. Here is a link that will bring you to Tall Tweets... Tall Tweets. I love how it turns out to look.
The reason why I have chosen to do the GIF on faith is because it is value this term (term 3).To me I think faith means believing in things you can't see like God,Jesus and the holy spirit.God is going to always be by your side he will never leave you.
I found it challenging to finish on time and find the right chapters and verses. I really enjoyed making this GIF though Tall Tweets, have you ever used Tall Tweets? or made a GIF? Please leave a comment I would love to know!

What is coding?
What is coding?
Have you ever wondered how coding works?
basically everyone uses a device to either message friends, play video games or do homework.
When playing a video game say there is an object and you have to move it, but it will not move by it's self because it does not have a mind of its own like us people do. you have to do coding including numbers and words. For example "Go forward 13 spaces" that certain code will tell it what to do and make it understand.
